Hi everyone! Wanted to start this little blog just so ya'll could be updated on how our new little guys are doing. We've been spending days at the hospital so Dan and I may not have been the best at keeping everyone updated so hopefully this will help :) I will try my best to keep this as up to date as possible and with pictures. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers cause they are working!!

Madden, Noah & Hunter

January 12, 2012
Another great day! Madden, Hunter and Noah continue to make amazing progress...thank you for all your prayers!! Here's some info on our 3 little loves :)

Madden Lesher-
The first little guy to come out! He was known as my Baby B and one of the identical brothers. Madden was born at 9:44am on December 28th, 2011. He weighed 3lbs 2oz and was 16 1/4 inches long. Once he starts gaining some more weight, you'll be able to see how much he and his brother look alike, its amazing to see they really do look alike though!

Hunter Daniel-
Our big boy! Hunter was the second guy to come out and is identical to Madden. You can tell he was eating his brothers food while in my belly cause he weighed 4lbs 13oz and still eats like a champ! He was also born at 9:44am and was 18 1/2 inches long. He's a sweetheart.

Noah Patrick-
Our little peanut! The whole time I thought baby B was going to be the smallest but it turns out Mr. Noah was our peanut. Noah was born at 9:46am, weighing 2lbs 15oz, and was 16 1/2 inches long. Even though he's so tiny, he's a strong little guy!

**Did I mention all 3 have huge feet and big hands just like their dad!?

Up to date...
Madden and Hunter started off hooked up to C-pap which means that they needed respiratory help. C-pap is the process that allows the baby to breathe on their own, but takes the oxygen from the room and pumps it into the babies lungs with pressure. This forces the baby's lungs to be pushed and grow stronger. All three boys needed electrolytes, sugar water, and calories pumped into their bodies immediately. Hunter had this through an IV in his hand, while Madden and Noah had theirs through their belly button. Madden and Noah both needed ultraviolet lights to counter early signs of jaundice. They both were under the lights (or as I was saying getting a tan) for about two days. Surprisingly Noah as the smallest baby needed the least amount of help with things, who would of thought?! The first off the C-pap help was Hunter and after few days followed Madden.
After their first week, all the little guys got off of their electrolytes, sugar water, and calorie IVs, and started drinking breast milk. Within the first days of the boys drinking breast milk, you could see the positive impact it had on them. They were breathing better, controlling their temperature better, and keeping a steadier heart rate. At this time they tried to put Hunter in a crib. Unfortunately it didn't work out and he had to go back in his incubator. As the days went on, the little guys got stronger and stronger. The doctors had to come and take an ultrasound of Madden's kidneys because a normal umbilical cord has three valves and Madden's at only two. They say sometimes that is linked with kidney issues, thankfully Madden's ultrasounds came back normal.

About 5 days ago, Hunter went back into a crib and started to take full feeds of breast milk. He's been in the crib ever since, and the nurses were able to take out his feeding tube because he drinks 2 ounces of milk every 3 hours. He also has had his pencil sharpened (ouch!), and passed his car seat test so it looks like he will most likely be coming home soon!!! That same 5 days ago, the nurses decided to allow Madden to start to control his own temperature in his incubator. He held strong and today was another obstacle climbed as he was taken out of his incubator and put into a crib! He now takes about 2/3 bottled full feeds, every 3 hours and is getting stronger and stronger each day. Madden has gained the most weight out of all three, packing on 9 quick ounces. Noah, while sleeping is the most peaceful sleeping baby ever! Yet while awake loves to rip off any wires attached to him or even his diaper lol. Noah makes us laugh everyday with the faces he makes and the way he sleeps just like his daddy, always having hands above his head or against his face, he never looks uncomfortable. He may be our peanut but he has the heart of a lion. We don't know when he or Madden will be able to come home but we know when they do our home will be complete and they will keep us on our toes.

Today the boys weights are:
Madden- 3lbs 11oz
Hunter- 5lbs 7oz
Noah- 3lbs 7oz
