Madden's Big Day!!

We are SO excited that we got to bring Madden home today!! It was really hard to leave Noah :( but we know he'll be home soon. We brought Hunter with us to pick up one of his brothers and to say hi. It was great to see two of our guys in a car seat side by side, without any wires, or in their little crib.

Our little man Noah is still doing great with eating and gaining weight. He just needs to stop having "bradys" which is when his heart rate drops. To be able to go home, babies need to go without having one for 5 days.
So right now Noah is on Brady watch.

My mom took a picture of Madden yesterday when he was still in the hospital and I had to share. The first one is Hunter from about 2-3 weeks ago and the second one is of Madden from yesterday. Its almost like its the same picture!

Madden, Hunter & Noah
January 25th, 2012

I can't believe its been a month already and how much they've grown! We are so ready for Madden and Noah to come home, Hunter needs his brothers to hang with. They have gotten all their tests done so they are all set to get home to us, just waiting on the okay and we're trying to be patient.
This past Sunday, Madden got his feeding tube out! Now we are able to see his handsome face without a tube and a piece of tape on it :) He and Noah have been eating so well, and they are definitely gaining some weight which is a great thing.
Madden now weighs 4lbs 7oz.

Noah weighs 4lbs 5oz.

And Hunter is keeping the name "our big boy" by weighing 6lbs 13oz!

Big news for Noah today! He got his feeding tube out!!! Now his sweet face isn't covered :) He has been doing so so good with his bottle feeds, he's almost catching up to Hunter with the amount. Soon I'm not gonna be able to call him my peanut if he keeps up with this pace. Basically now all Noah has to do is gain 2 more ounces to be at the weight you need to be to be sent home!! So excited for him and can't wait :)

Madden is being a little stud as well. He is doing much better with his bottle feedings. Its crazy how just one day it "clicks" for them and they just get it. Once he is more consistent with taking all his feeds through a bottle, he too will get his tube out. Madden now weighs 4lbs 2oz! He has gained a whole pound from birth! So proud of him :)

3 Weeks Old Today!!
Wednesday, January 18, 2012

Last night Madden made it back into the crib and was able to keep himself warm so far throughout the day. He is also doing great with his bottle feeds! I think he finally got the hang of it, which is a huge step because that was his main goal of getting home. He just needs to keep up the good work and he'll be home in no time!
It's amazing to me how much Madden and Hunter are starting to look alike! I know that they are identical but with the weight difference, I could only see a resemblance the past couple of weeks. Now that Madden has some meat to him, its really neat to see. They even have the same facial expressions, it really is amazing.

Noah is continuing to do great. He has the sweetest eyes, they melt my heart. He's still in his crib and is catching up to his bigger brothers! Thank goodness Noah is a patient little guy during feedings because his brothers sure aren't ;)

Hunter is loving life at home! He's in a great routine and is enjoying all the swings and other fun stuff we have around the house.
In case some of you are wondering how my other babies are doing (Linus and Nash), they are enjoying having a new addition to the family. At least for now lol! I keep telling them there's two more coming!! Here are some pics of the pups and Hunter:

Noah moved into a crib today! It was great to see the little man out of his incubator this morning. And he is also dominating his bottles! Before we know it, we're going to have him home :) Just hoping he continues on this path and continues to grow like he is!

Madden is on the lowest setting of temperature in his incubator which means he is a day or two away from trying out a crib again. He will get it this time, I know it! Can't wait to see my two little guys both in a crib, just another step closer to getting them home with their brother.

Hunter has been great since being home. He loves to eat! He's been very good for us and since we can't have all three home, at a least we get to have Hunter home so we can start getting the hang of things :)
Dan and I also took him to his first pediatrician appointment today! The doctor said he looks great and is a very healthy boy. He's also a growing little guy, or should I say big guy! He came home from the hospital Saturday night at 5lbs 7oz, and on Monday he is already 5lbs 14oz!!

Madden: 3lbs 14.5oz
Noah: 3lbs 11 oz
Hunter: 5lbs 14oz

Great news today!!!
Hunter gets to come home tonight! We are so excited and couldn't be happier. Now we just gotta get his brothers home.

Madden unfortunately had to go back in his incubator. He couldn't keep himself warm so the nurses will just have to try again soon. We have faith he'll be able to do it soon, he's a tough little guy!

Noah is continuing to grow and learn how to feed from his bottle. His goal mostly is just to grow :)

Hi everyone! Wanted to start this little blog just so ya'll could be updated on how our new little guys are doing. We've been spending days at the hospital so Dan and I may not have been the best at keeping everyone updated so hopefully this will help :) I will try my best to keep this as up to date as possible and with pictures. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers cause they are working!!

Madden, Noah & Hunter

January 12, 2012
Another great day! Madden, Hunter and Noah continue to make amazing progress...thank you for all your prayers!! Here's some info on our 3 little loves :)

Madden Lesher-
The first little guy to come out! He was known as my Baby B and one of the identical brothers. Madden was born at 9:44am on December 28th, 2011. He weighed 3lbs 2oz and was 16 1/4 inches long. Once he starts gaining some more weight, you'll be able to see how much he and his brother look alike, its amazing to see they really do look alike though!

Hunter Daniel-
Our big boy! Hunter was the second guy to come out and is identical to Madden. You can tell he was eating his brothers food while in my belly cause he weighed 4lbs 13oz and still eats like a champ! He was also born at 9:44am and was 18 1/2 inches long. He's a sweetheart.

Noah Patrick-
Our little peanut! The whole time I thought baby B was going to be the smallest but it turns out Mr. Noah was our peanut. Noah was born at 9:46am, weighing 2lbs 15oz, and was 16 1/2 inches long. Even though he's so tiny, he's a strong little guy!

**Did I mention all 3 have huge feet and big hands just like their dad!?

Up to date...
Madden and Hunter started off hooked up to C-pap which means that they needed respiratory help. C-pap is the process that allows the baby to breathe on their own, but takes the oxygen from the room and pumps it into the babies lungs with pressure. This forces the baby's lungs to be pushed and grow stronger. All three boys needed electrolytes, sugar water, and calories pumped into their bodies immediately. Hunter had this through an IV in his hand, while Madden and Noah had theirs through their belly button. Madden and Noah both needed ultraviolet lights to counter early signs of jaundice. They both were under the lights (or as I was saying getting a tan) for about two days. Surprisingly Noah as the smallest baby needed the least amount of help with things, who would of thought?! The first off the C-pap help was Hunter and after few days followed Madden.
After their first week, all the little guys got off of their electrolytes, sugar water, and calorie IVs, and started drinking breast milk. Within the first days of the boys drinking breast milk, you could see the positive impact it had on them. They were breathing better, controlling their temperature better, and keeping a steadier heart rate. At this time they tried to put Hunter in a crib. Unfortunately it didn't work out and he had to go back in his incubator. As the days went on, the little guys got stronger and stronger. The doctors had to come and take an ultrasound of Madden's kidneys because a normal umbilical cord has three valves and Madden's at only two. They say sometimes that is linked with kidney issues, thankfully Madden's ultrasounds came back normal.

About 5 days ago, Hunter went back into a crib and started to take full feeds of breast milk. He's been in the crib ever since, and the nurses were able to take out his feeding tube because he drinks 2 ounces of milk every 3 hours. He also has had his pencil sharpened (ouch!), and passed his car seat test so it looks like he will most likely be coming home soon!!! That same 5 days ago, the nurses decided to allow Madden to start to control his own temperature in his incubator. He held strong and today was another obstacle climbed as he was taken out of his incubator and put into a crib! He now takes about 2/3 bottled full feeds, every 3 hours and is getting stronger and stronger each day. Madden has gained the most weight out of all three, packing on 9 quick ounces. Noah, while sleeping is the most peaceful sleeping baby ever! Yet while awake loves to rip off any wires attached to him or even his diaper lol. Noah makes us laugh everyday with the faces he makes and the way he sleeps just like his daddy, always having hands above his head or against his face, he never looks uncomfortable. He may be our peanut but he has the heart of a lion. We don't know when he or Madden will be able to come home but we know when they do our home will be complete and they will keep us on our toes.

Today the boys weights are:
Madden- 3lbs 11oz
Hunter- 5lbs 7oz
Noah- 3lbs 7oz
